Here’s a rather nice article by Martin Avis who writes the Kickstart Newsletter

I can personally recommend Martin, his newsletter and his ‘world view’.

Check it out using the link above.

Personal development training is a huge industry that has its
roots in thousands of years old religious writing. Ever since
humans came together in societies, there has been a yearning
among many to improve our lot in life, to achieve bigger success
and to live as better, more organized, more efficient people.

It was only really at the end of the 19th and the beginning of
the 20th centuries that the whole self-improvement movement
really started to take off.

Early pioneers of what we have now come to know as bestselling
life coach courses, such as Napoleon Hill and Dale Carnegie paved
the way for a massive explosion of personal growth experts and
motivational speakers to emerge – and greatly change the way that
21st century thinking has developed.

It is no longer thought of as strange or maverick to want to
improve your life. Tony Robbins told us how to unlock the giant
within us all. All we have to do is follow the instructions.

An entire new language of personal development training emerged -
Neuro Linguistic Programming – NLP for short – has merged the
sometimes wooly self help advice that early writers published
with hard-hitting, proven psychological principles. It is no
longer enough to simply repeat affirmations to bring about change
in you life – NLP gives you powerful tools to reprogram your mind
away from the things that are holding you back and into patterns
that will almost force you to succeed.

Personal development training, as we now know it, really got
started with the publication of a book called ‘As a Man Thinketh’
in 1902, by an English writer called James Allen. He told his
readers that you don’t necessarily get what you want in life, but
you do tend to get the things that you most consistently think
about.

At the time, that was a revolutionary idea: that we are in
control of our own destiny and that our way of thinking can
change our way of being. It became a bestseller and still gets
much critical acclaim more than 100 years later.

The people who most took the message, that success comes from
thinking successful thoughts, to heart were publishers. They saw
the future and the future was personal development training!
Nobody knows how many selfhelp books have been published in the
110 years since, but the best seller lists always have several
high in the charts.

It is estimated that over half a billion copies of self
improvement books have been sold, and the real total may be even
higher. Type ‘self help books’ into Amazon and they’ll present
you with almost 105,000 to choose from. And with the current
ebook explosion in full force, the personal development industry
is growing even faster than ever before.

Does the vast array of books, courses, CDs, tapes and DVDs that
characterize the personal growth market suggest that it is all
hot air: castles of hope built on shifting sands?

I don’t think so. It seems to me that the hope that we can change
our lot in life, the promise that a few simple actions will turn
our circumstances around and the idea that we only have to follow
the advice of a few charismatic trainers who have discovered the
secret is what personal development training is all about. Yes,
it is selling dreams, but dreams can come true.

And it is so much better to live with dreams that can come true
than to merely exist without them.

UK company owners may want to ponder about offering a health fair which will incorporate event massage as a method of showing that they care about the work team’s health and wellness. Many business owners provide workplace massage just the once although many have continuous corporate massage fitness fairs. This article tries to answer some typical questions that are often asked about massage at work.

Event Massage UK

Q. Which is the most often used office massage?

A. “Chair massage” is widely used for” massage therapy in the workplace as it does not entail the massage receiver getting undressed or assuming a horizontal position. The neck, shoulders, and back are massaged during a chair massage. In as little as 15 minutes, a chair massage could supply helpful benefits like relief from stress.

Q. How much room does it take to do a chair massage and where can you perform this massage?

A. Massage chairs are comparable in size to a big size office chair. A conference room or unused office or another location with a door that can be closed is a good place for therapeutic massage. Make sure you leave enough space for the therapy person to walk around the chair with ease.

Event Massage:

Q. How much do you have to pay?

A. Several of the firms which incorporate massage therapy at the company offer an hourly charge. Considering that the massage lasts around 15 minutes, it is not difficult to calculate what an. The business that sends the massage therapists to your location may offer volume discounts or price breaks for repeat business, so be sure to check into that when hiring them.

Event Massage is an advantage that several staff members of UK firms will definitely have pleasure in. Now, why not endeavor to integrate this into one of your staff-oriented group affairs?

No doubt you’ve seen images of Buddhist monks seated on the hard floor, comfortably meditating. But for some people that simply isn’t feasible. For some people, there’s no choice but to use a chair to meditate instead of sitting on the floor. But a regular chair simply isn’t adequate. What you need is a meditation chair.

You can practice the art of meditation much more comfortably in a meditation chair. It molds to your body, thereby increasing your comfort level. You’ll have a more focused, meaningful meditation session if you’re not thinking about your sore back or if your legs have fallen asleep.

Meditation chairs adapt readily to your body shape, and they’re also comfortably cushioned. The secret behind the comfort they provide is buckwheat hull. This material is known for its durability. It’s an all natural, hypoallergenic product. As well, buckwheat hulls offer firm support for the buttocks. And they help the chair maintain its shape over time.

Meditation chairs are ergonomically designed to tilt forward somewhat, which keeps you from slumping. In addition, they don’t cause back pain because your spine is so well supported. And if you feel the need to change your position, you can just cross your ankles or pull up your feet. These features all help to promote the flow of energy through your body.

There are many different styles and designs of meditation chairs that can accommodate various body sizes, heights and weights. The cost of a meditation chair ranges from $30 up to $350, depending on what you’re looking for.

One of the real advantages of meditation chairs is their light weight, portability and range of sizes. They can easily be tucked away in a closet when you’re done meditating. There are also portable meditation chairs, inflatable cushions and folding benches, so that you can meditate anywhere you go.

A cane chair is a more permanent alternative. It’s stylish enough to fit your decor. You can be seated in it like any other chair. If you prefer, however, there is ample room for you to assume the lotus position.

The design of most meditation chairs helps you remain comfortable and at ease during meditation. Getting a meditation chair is a good idea if you’re determined to improve your health and fight stress. You can practice the art of meditation in comfort in a meditation chair, no matter if you’ve just started with meditation techniques or are a seasoned pro.

Fast-moving traffic, busy roads, and out of control drivers, previous road accidents and other horrifying events and these are some of the factors that are reason enough to make them cower in fear of driving. For others, the last reason like traumatic accidents may contribute to their unwillingness to drive or ride a car again. Some of these phobias or fears surely be a thing of the past, but for others, such fear of driving can definitely lead to severe stress in the form of uncontrollable anxiety for driving. Because driving anxiety is such a serious condition that can cause numerous problems for you and your loved ones and other people, it is important for the sufferer to get help as soon as possible. But where? Have your heard about Driving Fear program?

Before you can go to that, what is driving anxiety exactly? According to research, driving fear is a mental confusion wherein sufferers feel anxious and frightened towards driving.

There have been many stories about driving anxiety and the trouble it causes for many people. In most instances, young and elderly female drivers are most possibly to suffer from this mental problem, though male drivers may suffer from the disorder as well. An individual who undergoes from this kind of phobia may think illogically while he or she is riding in a car — some car drivers are unable to drive at the proper speed or will unknowlingly release their hold on the steering wheel when a speeding automobile comes near them from the opposite lane. These intense reactions are very dangerous and there are even others who have extreme fear of driving that even riding a bus and sitting way back over there can cause uncontrollable fear. It may even lead to fear of going outdoors quite possibly. But according to this Driving Fear program review, there is a natural and healthy way to overcome this fear.

What is being talked around here is a therapy by Rich Presta. This guy had his own share of fear of driving in the past but because he knows that not overcoming this fear can lead to the shrinking of his own world, he finally found a way to overcome it and he is now here to share to you what system he created and used to finally get back on the road again and this time, he’s behind the wheel with lots of confidence and trust in himself and for other people.

Given the state of the world today, it’s more important than ever that we all learn how to manage stress and uncertainly. Despite misguided opinion to the contrary, worry does you no good. In fact, worry reduces our ability to function well.

Worry is imagining future unpleasant or unwanted outcomes as if they already happened. When we do that, we ruin a perfectly good present reality by dwelling on an imaginary possible future. Done regularly, worrying distorts a person’s view of realtiy. They see things through a cloudy lense.

The good news is, how much we spend our time in anxious thinking is up to us – although some would have you believe otherwise.

Too many people think whether or not they worry depends on outside events. They carry the belief that worry is their only possible way to react to an unpleasant external event. As a result they have no control over it.

Many people believe that worry serves a useful purpose.

The more we look, the clearer it becomes that there are many such fallicies in circulation.

So to begin freeing yourself from destructive worry, you have to consider your assumptions concerning the role worry plays in your life. Why are you doing it? Do you think it’s a productive use of time? There has to be some percieved benefit for you to worry. If you don’t identify it, it will be harder to stop worrying.

As I mentioned, some people think that spending time worrying is unavoidable and useful. These people believe if they worry they’re being mature. They consider optomists “Pollyannas” and somehow not as responsible as they are.

None of that is true.

Worrying is actually a poor use of time. Rather than being a way to, it keeps you stuck in the problem. The mature approach is to focus on the problem only long enough to clearly define it, then focus on working on finding the best response.

Another excuse people have to engage in worry is that they believe that it’s somehow protective. Bad things won’t happen if they worry about them.

Let’s face it, that belief borders on superstition. Rather than provide a solution, worry keeps you finding workable solutions. Worry fills a mind with bad possble outcomes that most likely will never happen.

As you consider your beliefs about worry youll likely come to the conclusion you’d be better off if you did less of it. It’s my belief that society would be more productive if we spent less time worrying and more time imagining a brighter future.

Here’s a site that will help you start to Free Yourself From Worry immediately. Click on that link and you’ll get information you can apply today to start to get worry under control

And actually, you may want to check out the home page on that site. It has a bunch of information on health and wellness, stress management and just living well in general. Here’s the address:

Having a massage is often considered to be a luxurious, indulgent occasion. That’s certainly the case for a great many people. However, massage is also a proven method of helping you to manage any number of health conditions. It’s been shown to improve circulation, strengthen the immune system and generally promote wellness. There are certain conditions that respond particularly well to massage. Here’s a look at the problems that can be eased through regular healing massage.

Stress: This is certainly at the top of the list of conditions that massage can help with. Massage can help you to lower your stress levels and encourage your body into a state of balanced calm. Stress that is left untreated can have serious consequences for your health and well being.

Anxiety: This problem is actually quite prevalent in today’s society. The good news is that massage therapy has been shown to be successful at treating this condition. For treating anxiety disorders, aromatherapy massage has been found to be especially effective. Shiatsu and reflexology are complementary methods of treating problems such as panic attacks, depression and other anxiety disorders.

Headaches: There are lots of different kinds of headaches. To get the most effective treatment, it’s important that you discuss your health problems with your massage therapist. In particular, aromatherapy massage is found to be useful for relieving tension headaches. If your headache is a result of a pinched nerve, deep tissue massage is likely the more suitable approach.

Chronic pain: There are so many potential causes of chronic pain. It’s essential that you find out from your doctor the cause of your problems and communicate them to your massage therapist. This will help you get the most effective relief.

Insomnia: If insomnia is an ongoing problem for you, you might find that massage helps you to relax enough that you can sleep well. Often, insomnia results from stress. Aromatherapy massage, for example, can put your body back in balance to help you sleep more restfully at night.

Massage therapy is also highly effective for providing relief to those who suffer from joint and back pain, as well as arthritis.

Massage is most effective when you are aware of your underlying health problems. Visiting your doctor should always be your first step if you are experiencing any sort of ongoing discomfort. When the reason for your pain is discovered, you need to continue to work with both your doctor and your massage therapist to find the optimal means of treatment.

For some twenty five years now stress has been seen as something of a health epidemic and the situation continues to get worse as more and more workers report they are increasingly suffering stress at work. Indeed the workplace now constitutes the leading environment for stress in adult Americans. But stress levels have also been rising for children and teenagers in the past few years and a lot of people believe that this is linked to a loss of family and religious values, insufficient social support and simple corporate greed.

Today, stress is more dangerous than it was a decade ago and looks to be more widespread and more invasive than ever with a greater degree of stress arising out of psychological instead of physical threats.

Stress causes a rise in heart rate and increased blood flow in turn creating a higher blood pressure. Blood sugar levels also increase to provide the body with the added fuel which it needs to combat stress and the body is programmed to move blood away from the stomach when we are under stress in order to provide additional strength for our arms and legs as part of what is typically referred to as our “flight or fight” response.

Stress contributes to chronic depression and anxiety as well as to skin and gastrointestinal problems and disrupts the work of several of our main organs. It also causes impairment of the body’s immune system which in unable to fight off viral conditions from the not especially serious cold to serious conditions such as cancer and AIDS.

Work related stress directly influences things like employee absenteeism and productivity and the business climate worsens little by little with competition today at an all-time high. The pressure which is placed upon workers to produce and the continual concern about job security can result in a number of conditions including back pain, neck pain, stroke, hypertension, ulcers, diabetes and heart attacks.

Many different things can cause stress including simply sitting in front of a computer for seven hours a day or more, meeting deadlines or having someone continually watching you. In these situations the results are frequently seen as depression and a number of physical ailments that result in lost working hours.

Taking the necessary steps to manage the stress you have in your life could be the nicest gift you can give yourself and just a few simple changes to your life can make a big difference to the way in which you handle stress. For example, taking 20 minutes out of your day to walk will lower your stress as will talking to other people, meditation and prayer and eating a healthy diet. Take the time needed to master several relaxation techniques because breathing and relaxation exercises can significantly lower your level of stress.

Anyone who’s ever suffered a panic attack or a severe anxiety episode knows the suffering it causes, both physical and emotional. The fear can seem overpowering while the physical sensations that go with it make many people think that they’re going to die.

They feel as if they’re trapped and would do anything to find release from their fear.

Even worse is living with the dread that another attack might suddenly come suddenly, anytime, anywhere.

That fear can lead people suffering from panic attacks to into isolation. They want to avoid situations where they feel at risk.

Gradually their their fear gains increasing control over their life.

Obviously people in this situation want release.

When they try to find help from a health care professional they’re often offered a prescription. There’s no doubt that drugs are helpful, especially in the short term. However, ideally they are only temporary measure, something to ease the symptoms while the underlying cause is addressed.

A Mistake You’ll Know To Avoid

Since panic episodes feel so overwhelming, people almost automatically assume that they need to fight against these feelings and the experience they’re having.

In a way this makes perfect sense. The bodily reaction underlying a panic attack is the fight or flight response – the response that prepares us to respond to physical danger by either fighting for our life or running like crazy.

The physiology is preparing us for battle, so naturally we feel like we should fight.

However with these episodes, that’s exactly the wrong way to react. By fighting against them, we’re strengthening them.

How To Avoid This Pitfall

The trick in dealing with panic attacks is to go with their flow, even challenge them to do their worst.

That may seem too easy. Or perhaps it seems simplistic.

The key is that with a panic attack, nothing bad happens.

If you’re attacked by a dangerous animal and do nothing, you’ll die.

On the other hand, if you do nothing when a panic attack strikes, you’ll still be alive at the end of it. The sense of danger is an illusion, a paper tiger.

The way to see that is to accept the the panic attack and all the sensations that go with it and even welcome them. Dare them to do their worst. It’s scary when you start, but less so as you do it more often.

What you’ll likely find is that this actually reduces the symptoms of fear, sometimes almost immediately. As the saying goes “What we resist persists”. Accept a panic attack for what it is and it loses its power.

Although this approach is simple and effective, it is a learned skill. Practice and coaching help to become proficient at it. But the beginning is just knowing that the risk from a panic attack is more illusion than real.

If you want to find out more about panic attacks Panic Attack Release is a great site.

And there’s a good review of a product that teaches this type approach at Panic Away Review

As Dorthy found out when she got to Oz, the man behind the curtain is not very frightening once you see what’s really there.

You can find out about a great way to get beyond Panic Attacks by clicking that link.

Some of the words that I've seen used to describe Human Touch's iJoy massage chairs are…

different,

bold,

stylish, and

ugly.

So if you're looking to "wake up" a room or add something new and different while receiving massages on-demand, an iJoy chair could be just what you need.

With catchy colors like red, sage and camel, when I first laid eyes on the contemporary designs of iJoy massage chairs, I said to myself "wow, those are unique.”

Whether you find them attractive or just plain hideous, iJoy massage chairs are without a doubt the “purple cows” in the industry in terms of their design. They definitely stick out from other brands in the industry.

Common iJoy Robotic Massage Chair Features

iJoy’s robotic massage system is supposed to replicate a human-like massage.

There are four major professional massage techniques used in each iJoy chair:

• rolling
• kneading
• compression
• percussion

You have the ability to choose a program based on your own personal preferences. Three dimensional movements are utilized to follow the contour of your spine during your massage.

You can choose from one of three different 15 minute programs:

1. Full Back - massage for your whole back
2. Upper Back - receive an upper back massage
3. Lower Back – concentrates on your lower back

Each session will combine all four major massage techniques (rolling, kneading, compression, percussion).

iJoy Robotic Massage Chair Models

There are plenty of iJoy models to choose from…

• iJoy 100
• iJoy 130
• iJoy 173
• iJoy 170
• iJoy 300
• iJoy 320
• iJoy 550

The iJoy 100, 130, 170, and 173 models are basically the same but they vary a little in size and design.

The iJoy 300 includes power reclining and costs a little bit more than other iJoy models (the others are manual recline).

The iJoy 320 is a more expensive model, but it has a calf and foot massager integrated. A calf and foot massager is sold separately for the other models.

The iJoy 550 allows gives you freedom to swivel to the left or right.
