Sleep is Good For You

Getting 8 hours solid sleep seems to be an essential factor in reducing stress levels.

Now, I don’t know about you, but I very rarely get this much sleep.  I may be in bed, but my mind is churning over the day’s events and planning for tomorrow.

I’m seriously going to try and get 8 hours for the following reasons:

  1. Reduced blood pressure and a reduction in stress hormones floating around inside me.
  2. It slows down the natural aging process by enabling my body to repair itself.
  3. Less inflammation in my cardio system and, therefore, less chance of developing heart disease.
  4. I’ll become slimmer as my hormone levels that control appetite start to balance out.  I know that I eat and drink more when I’m under pressure.

Quite an important list, wouldn’t you say.

Go on, give 8 hours of sleep a try for a week and see what the difference is.

I’ll report back on how I’m getting on!
